Good Workplaces
Good Workplace program is another way of giving that makes this world a better place, and it refers to the companies with employees who donate a fixed amount monthly basis. Since it was launched in June 2000, 1,400 companies, including Samsung Life Insurance, SK Innovation, Corning Precision Materials Co, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, GS Caltex, Korea Gas Corporation and so on are at the forefront of delivering love to our neighbors in need.
Maetan Patrol Division which shares love
Maetan Patrol Division under South Police Station in Suwon joined 2nd good workplaces and policemen there donate their salary monthly. Policemen there frequently move offices, so it is not easy to do donations together. Despite this, they have continually donated from 2017 to now, so they contribute to expansion of giving culture in Gyeonggi-do. Maetan patrol division head Suwon Yoon said, "Giving is a good way to learn that small acts can spread love." He continued, "We will continue to try our best to be a patrol division that gives hope to underprivileged neighbors." Meanwhile, part of the Maetan patrol division's monthly donations are being used by Community Chest of Korea to cover living expenses and medical expenses for two lowincome families living in Maetan-dong.
